Mr. Schaffer Barry Weaver, 62, of Fred King Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 3, 1953 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Schaffer Gene Weaver and Mamie Wilson Weaver.Mr. Weaver worked for Wilhite Body Shop and Cornerstone Baptist Church.He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and was a member of the men's ministry, helped with Awana's and held various other positions in the church. He also loved to hunt and fish and was a former volunteer fireman and EMT.

Survivors include his wife: Tammy Parham Weaver; two sons: Chad Weaver and his wife Kyleigh and Austin Weaver all of Hartwell; one daughter: Crystal Beebe and her husband Shawn of Hartwell; five grandchildren: Britt Dyar, Sienna Beebe, Cali Beebe, Asher Weaver and Dustin Womack and considered as another one of his children;Candy McNall and her husband Clay of Elberton.Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015, 11:00 am at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.The family is at the home.
