Mrs. Beatrice Sears "Bea" Thomason, 89 of Anderson Hwy, Elberton, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Elbert Memorial Hospital, Elberton, GA.

Born on August 4, 1926 in Helen, GA, she was the daughter of the late George Leroy Sears Sr and Rosie Sutton Sears.Mrs. Thomason was retired from Economy Drug Store and a member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Nan T. Callaway of Tallahassee, FL and Jan T. Nodine of Watkinsville, GA; one sister: Ethelene Stroud of Clarksville, GA; four grandchildren: Derek Thomason, Jessica Peters, Addie Nodine, Maddie Nodine and several great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by her husband: Homer Julian Thomason; one son: Glenn Thomason; and one brother: George Leroy Sears Jr.

Graveside services will be Sunday, September 20, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Wright officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening.The family is at the home.
