Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Watkins, 80, of 7572 Elberton Hwy, Dewy Rose, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on January 30, 1931 in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ollie King and Callie Lily Finnie King. She was a retired antique dealer and a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Heber Homel Watkins, Jr. of Dewy Rose; two sons: Danny Watkins of Hartwell and Edward Watkins of Hartwell; two brothers: Bob King of Townsend, TN, and Ollie King of Macon, GA; three sisters: Ruby Roberts, Irene Monroe, and Mary Sammons all of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Gary Watkins; and two brothers: Harvey King and Ed King.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday.The family is at the home.
