Obituary

Mrs. Beatrice (Sorrow) West, age 87, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Hartwell Health and Rehab.
Born march 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Daisy (Looney) Sorrow. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Charlene & Gary Neese; sons and daughters-in-law: William & Patricia West and Tommy & Vickie West; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her pet Willie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Compton West; son: James Edward West; daughter: Peggy Ann West; siblings: Thelma Muller, Reba Adams, Ricci Tucker, Dorothy Hansford, Gordon Sorrow, Joe Sorrow and Fred Sorrow; and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Renfro and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Danielsville, Madison County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the families will be at their respective home.
