Mrs. Rebecca Ann "Becky" Phillips Starrett, 60, of Allen Acres, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born on January 22, 1956 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of Barron and Alice Hendrix.Mrs. Starrett was a former employee of Tenneco Automotive Equipment Company and Hartwell Sports.She was a member of Oak Bower Baptist Church where she served as the church historian, helped with AWANAS as well as other children's programs, and was a former choir member.
Survivors include her parents: Barron and Alice Hendrix of Canon; her husband: Phillip W. Starrett; one daughter: Katie Dean and her husband James of Hartwell; one son: Brian Starrett and his wife Kashara of Canon; six grandchildren: Kelsie Dean, Will Dean, Nolan Dean, Ashton Reed, Jase Starrett, Lillian Starrett; one brother: Larry Phillips of Hartwell; and two sisters: Belinda "BJ" Alexander of Canon and Betty Jean Isbell of Canon.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 13, 2016, 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland, Rev. Randy Perry, and Rev. Mike Hardy officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Oak Bower Baptist Church Building Fund, 1589 Old Hwy 29, Hartwell, Georgia 30643.
