Mr. Ben Neil Crittenden, 89, of 434 Hickory Crossing Rd, Hartwell, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at his home.
Born on August 24, 1922 in Elbert County, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Pinkney Crittenden and Martha Ann Edwards Crittenden.He was a retired barber and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and the men's Sunday School class.He was also a World War II US Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Sara O'Barr Crittenden of the home; and one sister, Iris C. Dlugos of Hickory, NC. Mr. Crittenden was preceded in death by four brothers: Malcolm Crittenden, Fred Crittenden, Horace Crittenden and Thomas Crittenden; and three sisters, Rosa Mae Vaughan, Edna Broadwell, and Cora Crittenden.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. James Sexton and Rev. Keith McKenzie officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
