Benny Hugh Dean, age 78, of Martin, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at his home.

Born November 2, 1943, in Waycross, he was the son of the late James Raleigh and Geneva Cole Dean. Before retirement he worked as a Quality Control Foreman for Delta Airlines. Mr. Dean was a veteran of the US Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Conyers Dean.

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law: Darren Todd & Julie Dean; daughter & son-in-law: Tracy Dean & Patrick Jansen; grandchildren: Andrew Todd Larson (Taylor), Amelia Margaret Jansen, Madison Dean Smith, Jacob Kulbe Jansen; great grandchildren: Greyson Larson and Penelope Larson; siblings: Robert Dean (Dianne), Patsy Dean Gammage, Tanual Dean Thrift and Terry Dean (Betty Ann).

A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family request donation in memory of Benny Dean be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
