Miss Bessie Crook, 95. Of Old Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Hart Care Center.
Born on March 14, 1922 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late James H. "Jim" Crook and Mae Cleveland Crook.She was a retired textile worker and bookkeeper.Miss Crook was a member of the Hartwell Alliance Church.
Survivors include a nephew: Alan Sanders and his friend Robin Cleveland of Hartwell.Miss Crook was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Imogene C. Sanders.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. Tuesday morning.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Alliance Church, 490 Vickery Street, Hartwell GA 30643 or to the Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell GA 30643.
