Mrs. Bettie Sue Bailey Reed, 80, of Mt. Olivet School road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on October 27, 1938 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar Bailey and Rosa M. White Bailey.Mrs. Reed retired from Tenneco / Monroe Automotive, where she was an assembly operator.She was also a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Dollie Teel Sunday School Class and the Forever Young.

Survivors include four sons: Bryan Reed (Darlene), Stanley Reed (Kathy), Russell Reed (Linda) and James Reed all of Hartwell; a sister-in-law: Frances Bailey of Hartwell; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband: Rance Reed and a brother: J.C. Bailey.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.Other times the family will be at the home of Stanley & Kathy Reed, 659 Mt. Olivet School Road, Hartwell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Reed will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb and Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
