Mrs. Norma E. Williams "Betty" Anderson, 87, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on February 24, 1931 in Franklin NC, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Norman Grady Williams M.D. and Vannie Lee Armistead Williams.Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Clarkston Baptist Church, Clarkston GA. She retired as a Kindergarten teacher for Clarkston Baptist Church so she could take care of her Mother full time; then at age 50 she attended Georgia State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Education.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughter; Becky Conner & Chuck of Hartwell & Roswell GA; her son: Randall H. Anderson & Janice of Cape Coral FL; a brother: Claude Williams of Snellville GA; three grandchildren: Eric Yarbrough & Sarah, Cal Anderson & Heather and Courtney Nelson & Chris; five great-grandchildren: Dani-Kate Yarbrough, Myles Yarbrough, Gabby Yarbrough, Isla Anderson and Connor Nelson.Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: William B. Anderson, and one brother and three sisters.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain GA with Rev. James Chapman officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimers Research with www.brightfocus.org or a charity of one's choice are appreciated.
