Mrs. Betty Jo McDaniel Butler, age 64, of Lavonia, GA died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at her home on Butler road.
Born June 28, 1947 in Pickens County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Della Mae McDaniel. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and collecting arrowheads with her family. Mrs. Butler was of the holiness faith.
She is survived by her husband: Walter Butler, daughter: Lisa Todd; sons: Jerold Rogers and Clay Butler; sisters: Bonnie Haynes and Lee Panther; brothers: Tommy McDaniel, Ivan McDaniel Jr. and V.C. McDaniel; grandchildren: Matthew, Jessica and Dustin Todd, J.D., Justin, Stephanie, Amanda and Renee Rogers, Clay Jr. and Caleb Butler and Shelby Patterson.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday May 11, 2012 at the funeral home. At other hours the family will be at the home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 12, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens North.
