Mrs. Betty Jo (Canady) Hill, age 73, of Lavonia, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at her home.
Born January 2, 1942, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lula Mae (Vickery) Canady. She was a graduate of Lavonia High School. She retired from The Gables at Cobb Village in Royston. Mrs. Hill was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Roger Hill; son and daughter-in-law: Keith and Tina Hill; grandson: Zach Hill; brother: Grady Canady; and sisters: Mary McCollum and Flossie Sanders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Sharon Jo Hill; sisters: Ruth Chastain and Pauline Kirk; and brothers: William Canady and John Henry Canady.
Mrs. Hill will be cremated in accordance with her wishes. As per her request, no services will be planned. The family will receive friends at their home Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer .org).
