Betty Lou Alexander McCoy, age 81, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Brown Health & Rehab in Royston.
Born November 9, 1939, in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Gertrude Haynes. Before retirement she worked most of her working life as a sewing plant operator and late in life as a food server for J & J Flea Market.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband: Wayne McCoy; by a baby: Jamie Morgan; and a daughter and son: Lucinda Doster & Donnie Doster.
She is survived by daughters & sons-in-law: Cathy & William Crane of Lavonia & Karen & David Larochelle of Florida; daughter: Yvonne Brock McCoy of Toccoa; son & daughter-in-law: Dean & Jayne Baker of Lavonia; sisters: Sue Glenn, Joyce Roberts & Kay Ayres; 10 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. The family will receive friend after the service.
