Obituary
Mrs. Betty Ruth Beechey Meadows, 88, of Kinley Road, Royston, peacefully passed away October 8, 2013 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on June 8, 1925 in Blossburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Morgan Beechey and Ellen Johnson Beechey.She was a retired Registered Nurse from a nursing home in Florida, was a US Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War and was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Sanders of Royston; her son, Jeffrey Meadows of Smyrna, GA; two brothers: Charles "Chuck" Beechey of Big Flatts, NY, Richard Beechey of Kettering, OH; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives.Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Miles Whitman Meadows, and two sisters.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.Special memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Christian Academy, 167 Dawkins Road, Royston, GA30662.
