Betty Louise Collins Norris, age 90, of Hartwell, formerly of Canon, passed away Tuesday, January 17.

She was born September 5, 1932, in Walton County, daughter of the late John Willis Collins and Callie Glass Collins. She retired from Boaz Manufacturing after more than thirty-six years of service. She was a member of the Lavonia Church of God. Ms. Norris will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Danny Norris; and brother: J. W. Collins.

She is survived by her son: Glenn (Margie) Norris of Canon; daughters: Ann (Burton) Bryant of Royston, Donna (Johnny Mac Smith) Hanley of Danielsville, Michelle (Ronny) Dove of Hartwell, and Kimberly (Jeff) Alicki of Lavonia; sisters: Helen (Jackie) Ollis of Nichols, Elizabeth Romero of Hull, and Nancy Ann Puckett of Winder; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. Burial will follow at Bowers Memorial Park in Canon. Ms. Norris' grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
