Betty Sue Stovall

Miss Betty Sue Stovall, 87, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Hart Care Center.

Born on October 13, 1938, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Stovall and Susie Dooley Stovall. Miss Stovall was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her brother: Edward Eugene Stovall of Hartwell; sister: Linda Stovall Nix (Billy Joe) of Winder; 7 nieces & nephews; and 12 great-nieces & nephews.

Miss Stovall was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Arthur Lester Stovall.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Miss Betty Stovall will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
