Mrs. Betty Ann Irvin Temple, 86, of Cade Street, Hartwell, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

Born on May 7, 1929 in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel H. Irvin and Annie Cooley Irvin.Mrs. Temple was a homemaker, telephone operator for Southern Bell and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son: Ike Temple and his wife Allison of Canon; one daughter: Mary Ann Wright and her husband Donald of Hartwell;one brother: Howlett Irvin of Alpharetta GA; four grandchildren: Harley Waller, Marisa Campbell, Haley Temple, Hilary Temple; five great-grandchildren: Chase Waller, Farrah King, Cescily King, Echota Campbell and Tilley Campbell also survive. Mrs. Temple was preceded in death by her husband: Inman Temple.

Graveside services will be Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Durham officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta GA 30346.
