Mrs. Betty Marie Shaw Terrell, 88, of Holly Hills Drive, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Hart Care Center.

Born on March 24, 1931 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Crawford "RC" Shaw and Mary Emma Britt Shaw.Mrs. Terrell was homemaker and member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and Dollie Teel Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three sons: Bennie L. Terrell of Canon, David L. Terrell of Hartwell, and Charles A. Terrell of Danielsville, GA; two daughters: Vanessa Brown of Gainesville, GA, and Bonnie Terrell of Hartwell; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Terrell is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Gibbs Andy Terrell; one daughter: Sharon Sorrow; one sister: Kathleen Cassidy; and one great-grandchild: Grant William Terrell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Terrell will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jason Webb and Mr. Leslie Boles and Mrs. Mary Jones officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville, GA.
