Obituary
Miss Betty Ann Thrasher, 84, of The Gables of Royston, formerly of Hartwell, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Gables.
Born on December 19, 1929 in Dayton OH, she was the daughter of the late Jodie Thomas Thrasher and Myrtle Sue Robison Thrasher.She was a graduate of the University of Georgia, member of the Alpha Delta Kappa, member of the Pilot Club of Hartwell, Hart County Retired Teachers and the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.Miss Thrasher was a retired School Teacher for the Hart County School System.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Taylor of Sebring FL; a brother, Jodie Thomas Thrasher Jr. of Warner Robins GA and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at The Gables with Dr. Steve Albanese, Dr. Hugh Kirby and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 855 Gaines School Road, Suite G, Athens Ga30605.
