Obituary

Mrs. Betty Anna Teasley Vickery, 77, of 4741 Lavonia Hwy, Hartwell, died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home.

Born on December 5, 1935 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mack Teasley and Rosetta Crump Teasley Cole.Betty retired from Wal-Mart as the Lawn & Garden Manager and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church where she was the church pianist.She was also a member of the Hart County Master Gardeners and in high school she was elected Hart County High School's first "Miss Bulldog."

Survivors include two sons: Bill Vickery and Bob Vickery both of Hartwell; one brother, George Teasley of Augusta, GA; one sister, Sara Morris of Waynesville, NC.Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.M. Walton Vickery; one son, Jim Vickery; and one sister, Mary Davenport.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Mack Bowers, Rev. David Wilson and Rev. Terry James officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Vickery's body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional, special memorials may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church, 3636 Lavonia Highway, Hartwell, GA30643.
