Mrs. Betty Jean Seymour Winslett, 79, of Hodges Mill Road, Hartwell, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.

Born on June 16, 1935 in Elberton GA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Green Seymour and Louise Schlock Seymour.She was retired from Hart County Hospital as a license practical nurses aid and was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons: Larry W. Winslett of Dahlonega, GA, Darrell L. Winslett of Hartwell and Randall Winslett of Anderson, SC; one daughter: Teresa Stewart of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survives.She was preceded in death by her husband: John E. Winslett; one son:Kenneth M. Condon; and one brother: J.I. Seymour.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Kathleen Deegan-Neal officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
