Mrs. Beulah Mae Jenkins, 80, of 75 Mt. View Lane, Lavonia, peacefully passed away, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Bloomfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hood and Ethel Burkhead Hood.She was a retired seamstress from Barrick's Manufacturing and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Floyd T. Jenkins; a son, Jack Tipton of Deland, FL; five daughters: Sharrie Jordan of Lavonia, Peggy Tipton of Orange City, FL, Bonnie Haticoat of Deland, FL, Debra Tipton and Patty Koons both of Lexington, KY; six brothers: Walter Hood, Gene Hood, Paul Hood, Marshall Hood, Roger Hood, James Hood; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 27, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Price Chapel Church of God with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the body will be placed in the church at 3:00 p.m. for the family to receive friends Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family is at the home.
