Mrs. Beverly Ann Brown Scott, 86, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 27, 2026 at North Pointe Senior Living, Anderson SC.

Born on January 24, 1940 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Luther A. Brown and Ruby Nell Weaver Brown. Mrs. Scott was a retired payroll supervisor for Hartwell Sports and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.

After retirement, Beverly and Marvin started their travels and golfing across the United States enjoying time with each other and friends. Beverly and Marvin also found no greater joy than spending time with their family, making memories and creating lasting family traditions.

Survivors include her husband: Marvin Scott; a daughter: Stephanie McCollum (Mike) of Belton SC; two sons: Mark Scott (Amanda) of Suwanee GA and Alan Scott (Kelly) of Hartwell; a brother: Billy Brown of Hartwell; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Helen Teasley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Private graveside services for Mrs. Beverly Scott will be Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Oak View Cemetery, Canon GA with Dr. Stuart Lang officiating.

Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Gideons International, Hart Co. Camp, PO Box 59, Hartwell GA 30643 or to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 East Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
