Mrs. Beverly Mauldin Smith, age 58, of Lavonia, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her home.
Born August 25, 1950, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Etrulia "Trudy" Mauldin and the late John "Scut" Mauldin. She was a graduate of Franklin County High School and a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father: John "Scut" Mauldin and sister: Kathryn Diane Mauldin.
She is survived by her husband: Mark Smith; daughters: Cheri Floyd of Carnesville, Christi Jackson of Pendergrass, and Andrea "Maggie Mae" Floyd of Lavonia; sons James "Tiger" Floyd of Hartwell and Chris Floyd of Daytona Beach, FL; sister: Janet Carey of Royston; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger and Rev. Richard Bielski officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church or to the charity of one's choice.
