Mr. William Horace "Bill" Adams, 81, of Royston, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart.
Born March 18, 1931 in Dublin, GA, he was the son of the late William Horace Adams, Sr. and Mazie Crosby Adams. He was reared in Macon, where he fell in love with western swing music. He was a musician and entertainer in several western swing bands, including his own, In the Mood. He was a retired salesman with Bishop Steel. Mr. Adams was a member of Nocona Presbyterian Church in Nocona, TX, where he served as an Elder. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Forces.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Payne Adams; daughter and son-in-law: Rev. Scarlette & Bob Bostick; grandson and granddaughter-in-law: Brandon & Brittny Stephens; and great-grandchildren: Conor, Lachlan, & Maelan Stephens.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Lavonia Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Tjepkema officiating.
