Mr. William Raymond "Bill" Buziak, 66, of 595 Union Hill Church Road, Bowersville, GA, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born December 3, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anne Hladio Buziak.Mr. Buziak was a Pharmacist before entering the U.S. Army.He retired from the U.S. Army, was a Vietnam War veteran, and Nuclear Reactor Operator.Mr. Buziak had a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Management and Masters in Business Administration from Nova University, Panama.He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hartwell, 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, member of the Heritage Committee, Finance Committee and Church Council.He was a member of the Bowersville Masonic Lodge, Past Master of Ancon Masonic Lodge in Panama and was a York Rite Shriner. He was a member of the Hartwell American Legion Post #109 and the American Legion in Panama and a member of the VFW.

He is survived by: wife, Lilia Sibanste Buziak,Son, Billy McCarty of Scottsburg, IN; Daughters, Linda Balon of San Diego, CA, Karen Purtell of Plainfield, IN; Brothers, Robert Buziak of Wildwood, NJ and Raymond Buziak of Feasterville, PA; Sister, LA Cherie Buziak of Teaneck, NJ; Four grandchildren, Caleigh Balon, Grant Purtell, Ali McCarty and Truman Purtell also survive.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.Father Terence Kane will officiate.Full Military Honors and Masonic Rites will follow the Mass.Mr. Buziak will be cremated and his ashes buried will be in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Memorial Garden.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m. The family is at the home.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1006 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
