Obituary
Mr. William R. "Bill" Hinton, 72, of 5497 Royston Hwy, Canon, GA, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at his home.
Born November 24, 1936 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Guy E. Hinton and Rosie Lee Gray Hinton.He was a retired Owner/operator of Freight Service in Columbia, SC and Owner of Billy Bob's Bulldogs.He was a member of Lynn Baptist Church in Tryon, NC.
He is survived by:Daughter, Vicky Hinton of Gainesville, GA; Sister, Martha H. Dorsey and her husband Tommy of Canon, GA; and Nephews, Joey Dorsey, Jeff Dorsey and Nick Dorsey.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Mike Fugate and Rev. Johnny Stowe will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Flat Shoals Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 2999 Bowersville Hwy., Bowersville, GA30516
