Obituary
Mr. William Henry "Bill" Parks, 81, of 183 Creekwood Road, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at his home.
Born October 5, 1927 in Worth County, GA, he was the son of the late Aulton Parks and Mattie Lois Vanzant Parks. He lived most of his live in the Atlanta area and retired from Hennessey Cadillac as a Car Salesman.He was a member of Terrell Baptist Church in Worth Co., GA and was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran.
He is survived by:Wife, Barbara Gail Vance Stone Parks of Hartwell, GA; Sons, Larry Parks of Dallas, Texas, Allen Parks of Hartwell, GA, Bruce Parks of Starr, SC; Daughter, Deborah Parks of Atlanta, GA; Stepchildren, Phyllis Wager of West Palm Beach, FL and Bret Stone and his wife Darlene of Lawrenceville, GA; Sister, Beulah Bass of Albany, GA; Five grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and one step great grandchild also survive.He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, John Parks.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Boone – Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel in Adel, GA.Burial will be in the Antioch Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Boone – Lipsey Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
