Mr. James Edward "Bill" Pulliam, age 68, of Canon, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at his home.
Born April 19, 1943, in Royston, he was the son of the late James V. and Ruby (Goodwin) Pulliam. He was a drywall finisher and of the holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife: Lucille (Woody) Pulliam of the home; sons and daughters-in-law: David & Darlene Pulliam of Lavonia and Jim Pulliam & Vicki Wilson of Greer, SC; daughter: Audrey Pulliam of Hartwell; sister: Bertie Mae Pulliam of Canon; granddaughters raised in the home: Danielle and Cassandra Nicole; grandchildren: Anna, Nickolas, and Samantha and great-grandchildren: Shaidyn, Daniel, Adalyn, Avan, and Tamar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Chapman Pulliam.
Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert Carter and Rev. Dorsey Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Bowers Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
