Billie Dean O'Barr Hovey, 92, of Houston, got her angel wings on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Born in Hartwell, Georgia on February 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Pat and Sula O'Barr.She spent her last 15 years living with her son Tommy Ilic and wife Glenda in Houston.She enjoyed her family, dancing, country music, reading and her Sunday School Class at Oak Forrest Baptist Church in Houston.Her favorite scripture was John 14:1-4, which gave her comfort.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Pauline Hutcherson and Patricia Best, and brother Kenneth O'Barr.

Billie is survived by her son Tommy Ilic and wife Glenda; granddaughters Jennifer Townsen and husband Paul, Leah Sharpe and husband Joey; 6 great-grandchildren Noah, Mason, Presley Thomas, Madalyn, Mackenzie, and Tristan; nieces Belinda Baldwin, Debbie Wilbanks, Peggy Hunt, and Joyce Marczak; and nephew Ronnie and Kay O'Barr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Hovey will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reed Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Boyd officiating.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m.
