Mr. Billy H. Shaw, 80, 44 Johnny St., Hartwell, died Saturday, June 14 at his home.
Born on June 16, 1927 in Dodge Co. GA, he was the son of the late Sam Shaw and Lola Mae Prather Shaw.He was a retired Hart County Sheriff's Deputy, of the Baptist faith and a WW II US Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Ruth Evans Shaw of the home; three daughters: Catherine Shaw and Joyce Ann Hilton and her husband Dave all of Hartwell and Wanda Human and her husband Roger of Royston GA; a brother: Hugh Shaw of Camp Springs MD; two sisters: Mary Tate and Dean Adams both of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Jena Strickland, Keelan Carey, Haley Shaw and Hannah Shaw and two great-grandchildren: Madisyn Human and Brayden Strickland also survive.Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Boyd Shaw and two sisters: Edna Phillips and Arleen Starrett.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Eddie Adams, Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home.
