Mr. Billy Nelson White, 90 of Comer GA was called home on Monday, October 22, 2018.

Born on October 30, 1927 in Elbert County GA but raised in Hart County, he was the son of the late Elbert Vandiver White and Blanche Busby White. Mr. White served his country honorably in the US Army. He retired from Athens Tech as an instructor of electronics in 1990.

Mr. White lived a life of faith, prayer, and compassion for others.He was a devoted husband to his wife Sara Fleming White of 68 years.A Godly example to his children, a loving grandfather, a loyal brother and a friend to all. His sense of humor and friendly disposition will be remembered and treasured by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife; Sara F. White; children: Marsha Harwell (Evin), Darrell White (Jennifer); two brothers: Marion White, Noel White; two sisters: Louise Gaines, Barbara Temple; five grandchildren: John Harwell (Alisa), Ashlee Cave (Justus), Daniel White (Elisa), Aleece White and Jordan White; two great grandchildren: Ava Cave and Evin Harwell and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Barry Black and Rev. Gordon Rhoden officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Maranatha, PO Box 53, Ila, GA 30647 or Anchor Bible Church, 340 Billy Dillard Road, Hull GA 30646.
