Mr. Winfred Robert "Bob" Bailey, 76, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on February 2, 1946 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Winfred Walker Bailey and Ruth Elizabeth Doker Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a troubleshooter for Monroe/Tenneco for 42 years. Bob loved fishing, drag racing, and gardening.

He is survived by the mother of his children: Carla Wilson Davis of Hartwell; son: Jason Bailey of Hartwell; step-daughter: Michelle Fields of Hartwell; companion: Emily Hill; sister: Ruth Ann Harris of Hartwell; two nephews: Tommy & Jamie Bailey; two nieces: Margaret & Melanie Harris; three grandchildren: Kayla Dowell, Kristen Mitchell, and Cody Fields; seven great grandchildren; and his beloved dog: Sam. Mr. Bailey is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Tommy Bailey; sister: Margaret Sue Bailey; and one great grandchild: Cameron Vance Purcell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

A service celebrating Mr. Bob Bailey's life will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Starrett officiating. It was Mr. Bailey's wishes to be cremated following the service.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
