Mr. Robert Francis Leicht, 85, of Holly Street, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Hartwell.

Born on August 6, 1933 in Peekskill NY, he was the son of the late Burton R. Leicht and Iva M. Leicht.Mr. Leicht was a graduate of Florida State University and worked in the banking industry for over 35 years. He moved to Hartwell from Thomasville GA in 1974 to join the Citizens & Southern Bank of Hart County, where he retired from in 1991. Bob was a former past-president of the Exchange Club of Thomasville and a past-president of the Hartwell Kiwanis Club. He also was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his two sons: Robert W. Leicht and his wife Suzanne of Evans, GA and Bruce S. Leicht and his wife Bonnie of Macon, GA; one daughter: Amy L. Seamans and her husband Gary of Tallahassee, FL; seven grandchildren: Mary Charlotte Leicht, Robert W. Leicht, Jr., Ted Seamans, Jack Seamans, Sophie Leicht, Rabun Leicht and Eliza Leicht and a sister: Judith L. Lee of Maitland FL.Mr. Leicht was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 56 years; Love Scarborough Leicht.

A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.The family will have a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
