Mrs. Bobbie Cordell Cochran, 91, of Hidden Point, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at her daughter's home.
Born on February 25, 1924 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Cordell and Lizzie Mae Reynolds Cordell.Mrs. Cochran was a graduate of Reinhardt College and a former Inventory Clerk for Nalley Chevrolet.She was also a member and former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hartwell VFW, where she started the weekly Bingo program.Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church, former member of the church choir, flower committee and the Golden Agers.
Survivors include her two daughters: Gail Mundy of Suwanee GA and Deborah Seagraves of Toccoa GA; three grandchildren: Jennifer Mundy, James Mundy and Scott Watkins and a great-grandchild: Abigail Mundy.Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Chief James R. Cochran, Atlanta Fire Department; three brothers: Joe Albert Cordell, Rayford Jackson Cordell and Guy Brent Cordell and a sister: Dorothy Cordell Smith.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sam Dulaney officiating.Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Resthaven Garden of Memory, Decatur GA.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Reed Creek Baptist Church, 116 Boleman Hill Road, Hartwell GA 30643.
