Mrs. Bobbie Jo Mouchet, 90, of 1744 Mouchet Road, Bowersville, widow of the late John G. Mouchet, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 26, 1921 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Stewart V. Bowers and Lillie Hollis Bennett Bowers.She was a retired Para Pro having worked at Eagle Grove Elementary School, Airline Elementary School and Hart County High School, and was also a former member of DAR and a member of UDC.Mrs. Mouchet was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Smith of Bowersville; two sons: John V. Mouchet and his wife, Shirley of Bowersville, Steve J. Mouchet and his wife, Robin of Bowersville; one sister, Dixie Lewis of Hartwell; three brothers: Stewart V. Bowers, Jr. of Hartwell, Gene T. Bowers of Soperton, GA, and Rev. Connie Mack Bowers of Bowersville; six grandchildren: Steven Mouchet, Jr., Gina Smith Moon, Jonathan Mouchet, JoAnna Smith Schneider, Jason Marett, Johnna Mouchet; one step grandchild, Michael Edwards; five great-grandchildren: Alex Mouchet, Tripp Mouchet, Cash Mouchet, Samuel Moon, and Jacob Moon; and two step-great-grandchildren: Brady & Cody Thompson.Mrs. Mouchet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Jennifer Marett; one sister, Mary Stewart Bowers Gurley; and two brothers: Harold Bowers and Jack Bowers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Coleman and Rev. Connie M. Bowers officiating.Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.The family is at the home. Flowers are optional and memorials can be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund, 3636 Lavonia Highway, Hartwell, GA30643.
