Mr. Bobby J. "Bob" Bailey Sr., age 84 of 7887 Scheafer St., Bowersville Ga., died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late Buford and Dallas Floyd Bailey.He was former owner-operator of Bailey's Cabinet Shop, member of the Bowersville Baptist Church, Men's SS Class, former deacon and SS teacher.He was a WW II U S Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.

Survivors include his wife: Charlotte Haynes "Tina" Bailey of the home; two sons: Bobby Bailey and his wife Marjorie and Steve Bailey and his wife Deana all of Bowersville; one brother: John Bailey of Bowersville; one sister: Sara Hunt of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Heather, Karen and Andrew Bailey and Keri Williams and a great-grandson: Hunter Williams also survives.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Stanley Bailey.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 21 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bowersville Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Ivester officiating.Burial will follow in the Bowersville City Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to the Bowersville Baptist Church, 980 E.
