Mr. Bobby Gene "Bob" Willis, age 75 of 212 Gloria Street, Hartwell, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Center

Born January 21, 1932 in Hart County, Georgia, he is the son of the late Robert L. Willis and Cora Lee Phillips Willis.He was retired from Monroe after 25 years and he retired from AmCan after 12years as a Truck Driver.He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, VFW and was a US Army Korean War Veteran.

His survivors include:Sons, Mike Willis and his wife Teresa of Hartwell, GA, Ricky Willis and his wife Shellie of Hartwell, GA and James E. Willis of Hartwell, GA; Daughters, Kathy Willis of Hartwell, GA and Kristy Teasley and her husband, Greg of Hartwell, GA; Sister, Dora Hanks of Anderson, SC; 6 grandchildren, Bobby Willis, Samantha Willis, Hannah Willis, Elijah Teasley, Kayla Wilson and Kalen Rowland; 3 step grandchildren, Josh Haigood, Amanda Haigood, Sarah Cottingham; 2 great grandchildren, Mikayla Wilson and Tyson Haigood.He is preceded in death by his wife, Merle Kaye Eberhardt Willis; Brothers, Cliff Willis and Winford Willis and a step grandchild, Stephanie Ann Haigood.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Ricky Willis, 1994 Clay Brown Road, Hartwell, GA.
