Robert Wesley "Bobby" Farr, son of the late Wesley C. and Estelle Randall Farr, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Anderson Medical Center.
Born August 14, 1930, in Franklin County, he was a graduate of Lavonia High School. He retired as maintenance director of the Lavonia Housing Authority. Mr. Farr was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Joyce Greer Farr; and four nieces: Pat D. Chitwood, Martha D. Freeman, Syble D. Whitfield, & Lydia F. Ethridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Guy Ray Farr; a sister: Blanche Farr Dowis; and a niece: Jimmie Ann Dowis King.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Ross Layne and Rev. Chris Chitwood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Revs. David Wilson and Joshua Harvill officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
