Obituary
Mr. Bobby Ray Ramsey, 85, of Old 29 Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his home.
Born on July 30, 1935 in Danielsville GA, he was the son of the late Lovic Ramsey and Bernice Smith Ramsey.Mr. Ramsey received a two year degree from Athens Tech in HVAC and employed with USDA at Southeastern Poultry Research Lab as a maintenance worker. He was a member of the Milltown Baptist Church and a US Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Lenora Brown Ramsey; one son: Steve Ramsey (Jan) of Elberton; two daughters: Renee Teal of McCaysville GA, Gail Ramsey of Royston GA; nine grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.Mr. Ramsey was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Byron L. Ramsey.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Graveside services for Mr. Bobby Ramsey will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Adam Tripp officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
