Mr. Bobby Joe Robertson, 66, of 785 Providence Church Rd., Lavonia, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born on November 13, 1942 in Hart County GA, He was the son of the late James Felix Robertson and Clyde Mackey Robertson.He was retired from Monroe / Tenneco with 44 years of service as an electrician.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He was survived by four brothers: Gerald Robertson and his wife Marie of Fayetteville, Leon Robertson and his wife Shirley of Hartwell, Neal Robertson and his wife Sherry of Stockbridge and Jerry Robertson and his wife Carole of Hartwell and a sister: Sylvia Howell and her husband Alton of Hartwell.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Michael Robertson.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Rev. Ken Brewer and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.The family has requested that memorials be made to help defray his nephew, Scott Robertson's, medical expenses.
