Mrs. Bonnie E. Bailey, 81, of Bowersville, widow of the late Owen Bailey, died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her home.
Born on February 28, 1931 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Artis Elmer Ertzberger and Clara Ankerich Ertzberger.She was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church, where she was the organist for many years, and a member of the Encouragers Sunday School Class. She retired from the office of the Probate Judge in 1992.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Bailey Bowen, and her husband Pete of Bowersville; one son Phillip A. Bailey, and his wife Donna of Stuttgart, Germany; six grandchildren: Amanda Crowe, and her husband David, Nathan Bowen, Ryan Bailey, Julia Bailey, Emily Bailey, and Garrett Bailey.Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, David E. Bailey; and one brother, A.D. Ertzberger.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Coleman, Rev. Connie M. Bowers, and Rev. Michael Fugate officiating.Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
