Mrs. Bonnie Ruth Vaughn Davis, age 91, of 59 Tiger Tail Road - Lavonia, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Hart Care Center.
Born August 12, 1915 in Franklin County, she was the last survivor of nine siblings. She retired as a supervisor with Carwood Mfg. Company. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Harry and Mildred Davis of Lavonia and Donald and Dot Davis of Lavonia; a daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Kenneth Doker of Lavonia; Three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband: Hubert Arlington Davis and parents, Jake and Gertrude (Watts) Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger and Rev. Richard Bielski officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 47 – Lavonia, GA 30553. The family will be at their respective homes.
