Obituary

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Parten Fleming, 81, of 270 Millbrook Circle, Hull, GA died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 28, 1931 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Captain B. Parten and Rena Mae Smith Parten.She was a retired seamstress for Bellcraft Manufacturing and was of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicki F. Brunson and her husband Charles of Hull, GA; one step-son, James Fleming and his wife Sara Alice of Canon, GA; two grandchildren: Charles Kyle Brunson and Lauren Brunson McFarlin and her husband Stephen; two great-grandchildren: Peyton Elizabeth McFarlin and Gavon Victoria McFarlin; three nieces: Cheryl Harris, Lisa H. Phillips, and Becky Tullis; two nephews: Jeffery Parten, Mike Harris; three step grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Edward Fleming; and one nephew, Wesley Parten.

Graveside services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
