Bonnie Herring Maxwell, age 79, of Grady School Road, Canon, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice IPU at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born March 23, 1936, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Avis (Ethridge) Herring. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress for Carwood Mfg. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law: Lee Harris. She is survived by her daughter: Cindy Harris of Canon; son: Wayne Maxwell of Canon; brothers: Gerald Herring of Gainesville and Joe Herring of Canon; grandchildren: Brittany Harris, Christy Fleming, Amy Fulghum, and Beth Harris; and great-grandchildren: Cody Fleming, Logan Fulghum, and Landon McGee.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home. There will be a graveside service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
