Mr. Boyd Luther "Bud" Findley, 81, of 366 Moss Gin Road, Royston, husband of the late Minnie JonesFindley, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at his home.

Born on February 20, 1931 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late William B. Findley and Pearl Carghill Findley.He was retired form Vulcan Materials as a Heavy Equipment Operator, and was a farmer and member of Vanna First United Methodist Church. Mr. Findley was a US Army Veteran

Survivors include three sons: Frank Findley of Royston, Donnie Findley of Royston, and Jerry Findley and his wife Diane, of Peachtree City; one daughter, Beth Dudley and her husband Ray, of Royston; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Findley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; six brothers: Jesse Findley, Jack Findley, Pope Findley, Steve Findley, Joe Findley and Frank Findley; and two sisters: Louise Norton and Rose Findley.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Vanna United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Moon and Rev. Terry Deland officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday.The family is at the home.
