Mrs. Brenda Jean Powell Bailey, 70, of Sam B. White Road, Hartwell, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.
Born on February 18, 1944 in Royston GA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Jones and Gethel Phillips Jones.She was retired from Hartwell Company as a seamstress and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son: Darren Bailey and his wife Lisa of Hartwell; two daughters: Debra Benton and her husband Tim of Elberton and Sharon Bailey of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Cody Benton, Justin Benton, Ashley Bailey, Breanna Bailey, Dalton Bailey, and Taylor Bailey.She was preceded in death by her husband: John Walker Bailey and one daughter Teresa Bailey.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Pastor Lynn Kellum officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends
Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family is at the home of Darren and Lisa Bailey, 303 Sam B. White Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
