Mrs. Brenda Baker Freeman, 72, of 120 Tony Drive, Hartwell, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at her home.

Born on May 15, 1941 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of Loy Holland Baker and the late Thornton Baker.She retired from Winn Dixie, where she was a Seafood manager.She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Loy H. Baker of Hartwell; two sons, Benson Freeman and Brent Freeman both of Hartwell; a sister, Patsy Baker of Hartwell; a brother, James Baker of Anderson; five grandchildren: Damion Freeman, Katie Freeman, Kayla Freeman, Joseph Freeman and Trenten Freeman; four great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her father; husband, Harold B. Freeman; a sister, Betty Sue Baker and a brother, Benson Baker.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jack Lawson and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family is at their respective homes.
