Mrs. Brenda Welborn Grubbs, 74, of Bowersville, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Hart Care Center.

Born on April 19, 1948 in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late Mack Leon Welborn and Nina Bailey Welborn. Mrs. Grubbs was formerly employed with Tenneco Automotive Equipment, Johnson and Johnson of Royston and Kautex of Lavonia and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She also was a caregiver for her brother Jerry for a number of years.

Survivors include one son: ToddGrubbs (Angela) of Bowersville; five grandchildren: Gynger Grubbs, Nathan Grubbs, Stephen Grubs, Kaitlyn Grubbs, Trinity Chalker; one aunt: Betty Brown (Ken) of Hartwell; three uncles: Charles Bailey, Jim Bailey (Peggy), Horace "Duck" Bailey (Joyce) all of Hartwell; a sister-in-law: Janice Phillips of Hartwell; a number of close cousins and her two dogs: Elbert and Ace. Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: James Haley "Jimmy" Grubbs and her brother: Jerry Welborn.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Grubbs will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry James officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
