Brenda Lynn McCormick Mitchell was born September 17, 1950 and died June 3, 2011. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Northway Church, with the Reverends Phil Anderson and Carl Ellington officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 PM at Lavonia City Cemetery, Lavonia, Georgia, officiated by Reverend Richard Bielski... The family will greet friends between 7:00 and 8:30PM on Sunday at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Northway Church. She was a faithful Christian servant who loved her daughters and family. She was dedicated to her spiritual mission through many leadership roles, including Sunday School teacher, Bible study leader, and youth advisor. Mrs. Mitchell was predeceased by her parents, Arthur McCormick and Annie Laura McCormick, and brother, James Herbert McCormick.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband William Kenneth Mitchell, of Juliette; two daughters, Mary Ellen Mitchell Etheridge (Mitchell), of Juliette and Marisa Wilson Dale (James), of Cornelia, Georgia; grandchildren, Ashley Dale, T.J. Dale, Dawson Dale, and Jessica Dale; brothers and sisters, Donald McCormick, Elsie Bumgardner, Ann Vickers, Nelda Bryan, Bertha McCormick, J.D. McCormick, Jill Rutledge, and Gerry McCormick, all of Monroe, Louisiana.
